Current Beauty Obsessions

I feel like I have been a little M.I.A lately but I’ve just been super busy with new and exciting opportunities. That being said I feel like, for me, March has been a month of many beauty discoveries. I don’t normally find this many goodies in such a short amount of time. Maybe I’ve been more inspired because Spring is approaching. Nonetheless, I thought I would share these current beauty obsessions with you all.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit

I had to talk about this product first because I am absolutely obsessed with it. If you had any doubts or hesitations about purchasing this highlighting palette, don’t because it is amazing. At first it looks glittery when you open it and I wasn’t sure if it was going to look like chunky glitter on the skin. Surprisingly, nothing about the colours came off glittery on the skin so I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase this palette. I am so happy I did because it was very worth it for me. The best part about this palette personally, is that I find each individual shade wearable. I always find it annoying when there are certain shades in a palette I can’t wear or do not like. I do not have that issue with this palette what so ever. In this palette you get 6 individual highlighters with a total of 4.5g for $52 Canadian dollars. I find this extremely worth it because there are individual highlighters on the market for as much as this entire kit.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in shade Golden Days

This is the very first Makeup Revolution product I’ve tried. I’ve been hearing good things about this brand lately and how affordable it is so when I saw the brand at my nearest London Drugs I had to see for myself. As soon as I saw this product I was intrigued. There were 3 different shades, but since I am a pasty human I was very drawn to this lighter shade. It definitely lives up to the name as it is a great baked bronzer on the skin. It has more brown tones instead of orange which I prefer since I have fair skin. I highly recommend this product, I haven’t used any other bronzer since purchasing and I am really excited to keep wearing it throughout the summer.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm

Since we are on the topic of Makeup Revolution, I also picked up this strobe balm from the drug store as well. I actually didn’t know if I was going to like this product at all. It’s a cream highlight so I was a little nervous to use it since normally I go for powdered highlighters and the word ‘strobe’ just sounded so intense. When I swatched the product on my hand I thought ‘oh no this is way too intense for me, this is not going to look good on my skin’. However, I decided to try it on my face before completely writing the product off entirely. Once I put the product on my cheek bones using my finger tips I was a little stunned. The product was not as intense as it was on my hand and it actually gave off a more subtle, everyday highlight. I am very impressed with this product I must say.

Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Sugar

I’m not going to lie I completely purchased this product because Jaclyn Hill mentioned her love for it in one of her YouTube videos. If you don’t know who Jaclyn Hill is then 1. I don’t know how you haven’t and 2. You need to go search her on Youtube. Anyways, I knew I would love it since I love any kind of lip gloss in a pinky/nude shade. The formula is really good and the doe-foot applicator is really nice too.

Smashbox Blendable Lip & Cheek Colour in L.A. Nights

This is actually kind of a random favorite. I’ve had this product for a while now and I’ve never actually used it. It’s a sample size from some Sephora rewards package – I believe it was from a Smashbox one they gave out over a year ago. Anyways, I had done a peachy eye makeup look a few days ago and wanted to pair it with a light orange/peach lip colour. I couldn’t find anything I was looking for in my current collection other than this jumbo lip pencil. I decided to try it and actually loved the look. I’ve been obsessed with it ever since and will definitely be purchasing the full size once it runs out.

Guerlain Rosa Pop

I have been loving this perfume for months now and it is my go-to for my everyday perfume. Unfortunately, this certain perfume is limited edition and can only be picked up in duty-free shops. This makes sense as I purchased this product at the duty free shop in the Paris airport right before I traveled back home this past Christmas. That being said if you ever are in a duty free shop I highly recommend checking this fragrance out.  I love anything that smells like roses but this is just such a fun, flirty, mature scent. This fruity, floral fragrance has notes of peony, rose and red berries and is perfect for Spring. I love the packaging, I love the scent, I love everything about this product.

Ole Henriksen 3 Little wonders sample package

I’m not sure if this package is still available but I recently picked it up from a Sephora rewards points package. I have tried a couple of products from this brand which I absolutely love but I thought this would be a good way to test out some other products before purchasing them. The package is described on as “targeting visible signs of ageing”. So far I have really been enjoying the Night Transformation Gel along with the Perfecting Moisturizer. In the morning my skin feels very firm but also hydrated. I’ve definitely been enjoying the Truth Serum. I know it’s one of their most popular items and I can see why. It definitely made my skin feel soft and hydrated throughout the entire day.

These have been all my current beauty obsessions lately. Let me know what products you’ve been loving lately and if I should try them out. I am always on the hunt for new beauty products to try!
